Jeffrey DeMello


Clinic Director, Physiotherapist, Acupuncture Practitioner, ART® Provider
Jeffrey earned his Bachelor of Physical & Health Education from the University of Toronto in 2003 and his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen's University in 2006. He has extensive experience working in private practice, treating primarily in orthopaedics and sports rehabilitation. He utilizes joint, soft tissue and neural mobilizations, active strengthening and stabilization exercises, and acupuncture, in treating a variety of spinal dysfunctions and upper and lower extremity injuries. Jeffrey is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), is certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI), and is a certified Active Release Techniques® (ART®) Provider. He is currently working towards completing his Manual Therapy diploma from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Sports Physiotherapy certificate from Sport Physiotherapy Canada. He has a keen interest in sports rehabilitation, and is an avid athlete participating in a variety of sports in his free time. Additionally, he provides coverage for various sports teams and events.

Roopali Neemuchwala

Clinic Director, Physiotherapist, Acupuncture Practitioner, Certified GIMS, Certified PGAP, ART® Provider

Roopali has been a Registered Physiotherapist in Ontario since 2000. Armed with a BS in Microbiology and an MS in PT, Roopali has worked in private practice since January 2001 primarily working within an outpatient orthopedic population. In January 2004, she became PGAP (Progressive Goal Attainment Program) certified, in January 2006, she received her certification in acupuncture, and in September 2008 her certification in Intramuscular Stimulation (Gunn IMS) from iSTOP. Roopali's practice area involves assessment and treatment of patients presenting with orthopaedic problems, including patients involved in motor vehicle accidents (MVAs), workplace injuries (WSIB), sports injuries and post-surgical patients. She also performs Functional Abilities Evaluations (FAEs) and conducts IE's (Independent Examinations) providing rehabilitation assessments for 3rd parties including Insurance carriers.
Roopali has special interest in chronic pain and Vestibular rehabilitation where she has undertaken several courses to further enhance her confidence and ability to achieve successful outcomes. She has worked in multidisciplinary teams to provide goal oriented individualized care for complex chronic pain clients and has successfully liaised between the primary case co-coordinator, 3rd party funders, client, physician, specialists and employers.

Nicole Burling


Nicole earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University in 2008 and her Master's of Science degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto in 2011. She has also obtained her Certification of Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University in 2013. Nicole is a registered member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She is currently working towards completing her advanced manual therapy certification from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Nicole has extensive experience working with elite athletes in strength and conditioning, sport performance training, and on-field and off-field injury prevention and management. She has also completed her yoga instructor certification (CYES) and enjoys integrating yoga exercises into her physiotherapy treatment for those yoga enthusiasts. In clinic, Nicole uses a variety of techniques including advanced manual therapy techniques, myofascial release techniques, acupuncture, and specific exercise prescription. She looks at the body as a whole to get to the source of your pain and effectively heal underlying pathology. She has a passion for engaging patients to achieve their activity related goals, whether it is to return to work-related tasks, leisure activities, high performance sport activities or daily functional tasks. Nicole is an avid athlete and outdoor enthusiast herself, enjoying soccer, mountain biking, skiing and hiking to name a few.

Dr. Jessica Meneses

B.Sc. (Hons), D.C.

Chiropractor, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Provider
Dr. Meneses is a Doctor of Chiropractic graduating from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario. She also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from McMaster University. Dr. Meneses is also a Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Provider having received her certification from McMaster University.

Dr. Meneses' treatment goals include decreasing and managing pain, improving and maintaining overall function of muscles and joints, and helping patients return to and maintain pre-injury health status by educating patients on the importance of preventative and corrective care. She believes in individualized treatment protocols that may include chiropractic adjustments/mobilizations, myofascial release techniques, acupuncture, stretching/strengthening exercise prescription, nutritional/lifestyle counselling and custom orthotic therapy. She also strongly believes in a holistic approach to health care and will refer you to the right health professional when necessary.

She is provincially licensed under the College of Chiropractors of Ontario and is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association and Ontario Chiropractic Association.

Carvet Smith


Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Pilates Instructor
Carvet is a graduate of ICT Kikkawa College class of 2001. She utilizes Swedish, Hydrotherapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial release, Trigger Point Therapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitated Stretching and Joint Mobilization to treat a variety of conditions, including acute and chronic injuries, as well as repetitive strains. Her aim is to help her clients reach their optimal health by guiding their healing process and helping them prevent musculoskeletal injuries. Carvet has also completed Pilates Intensive Mat Work Essential/Advanced and Intensive Reformer courses with Stott Pilates Studio. She is an active member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

Pen Smith

RMT, SMT (cc)

Manual Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist, Sport Massage Therapist (cc) with the Canadian Sport Massage Therapist Association, Kinesio Tape Practitioner, Certified Matrix Repatterning Practitioner.

Pen was a Reflexologist, Shiatsu and Energy Medicine (Therapeutic Touch) therapist prior to becoming a Massage Therapist in 1996 from Sutherland-Chan School. She has been trained in many modalities and under well known teachers. She has grown to recognize that the technique is not important but being able to read and understand the body and applying the help the body needs in the moment it needs it.

Pen Smith has been blessed with opportunities to share her diverse talents and abilities in clinical settings and in the front lines of high performance sporting events. She has worked from grassroots to national, international and professional levels. Working with animals, especially dogs, has also been rewarding to see an animal get up in walk when it could not.

Valuable experience has been gained with high performance athletes at many major events; such as National Midget AAA Hockey Championships, National Cross Country Championships, CIS National Swimming Championship, National Men’s Curling Championship: The Brier and World Women’s Curling Championship. She has been the Team RMT in Soccer, Dragon Boat, Sprint Canoe Kayak, Lacrosse and for Team Canada (2008 World Canoe Polo Championships). This past season, Pen was a therapist at the World Junior Sprint Canoe Kayak Championship and the Wayfarer World Sailing Championship, along with being the team therapist for the Toronto Balmy Beach Canoe Club.

Pen has a resounding reputation for working outside the box, or perhaps redefining the box, to get results and continues her lifelong journey of learning by re-inventing herself.

Hilton Huynh


Registered Massage Therapist

Hilton is a member of the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario. After graduating from York University in 2010 he enrolled at the Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic and graduated in 2012. Hilton incorporates a variety of techniques during his treatment which include general Swedish massage, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilization and body stretching. In addition to treating common aches and pains, Hilton has clinical experience with seniors, prenatal, amateur and professional athletes, patients going through cancer treatment and spinal cord injury patients. His aim is to facilitate the healing process and promote optimal health for every client he sees. Outside the clinic Hilton likes to spend his time at the gym, playing sports, bike riding and reading.

(Albert) Ru Jun Xu


Registered Massage Therapist
Albert is Registered Massage Therapist & Acupuncturist in Ontario practicing massage therapy since 1994 and acupuncture therapy since 1985. Albert studied massage therapy at Sutherland-Chan Massage School, Toronto and completed a 6 year Medicine & 4 year General Surgeon study, M.D. degree, as well as 3 year postgraduate study in Rehabilitation Medicine, MSc. degree, in Shanghai Medical University, Shanghai, China. Albert Studied Tui Na and Acupuncture at the Affiliated Long Hua Hospital in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and in 1983 – 1984 received certifications in Acupuncture, and Tui Na, at Shanghai Continuing Education University

Mukta Gandhi

Office Manager
Mukta has completed a Bachelor of Education and a Masters of Arts from Delhi University and has several years of client service and administrative experience. She works hard to welcome clients to a warm and friendly environment, and is not shy to express her enthusiastic and friendly personality while interacting with clients.

Aneesa Khan

Office Administrator
Aneesa is originally from the twin Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. She possesses a Bachelor in Education from the University of New Brunswick in 2011, Diploma in Education from Valsayn Teachers’ College in 2004, Diploma in Medical Office Administrator from CDI College in Mississauga in 2013, and Certificates in The Teaching of Reading and Basic Counselling from the University of the West Indies. Due to her profound interest in Teaching, she continues to exercise her goodwill by volunteering at public schools here in Canada. Aneesa’s willingness and keen sense of responsibility has made her an aspiring administrator with an ambition to further improve her standards in this field.
